Dual Exposure- 2023-24
This multifaceted piece is a representation of myself as an artist created with and portraying my many mediums, specifically highlighting the duality of playing both roles as model and photographer. The project explores duality within my artistic roles, and how they can work together. The project serves as a personification of my artistic identity across various passions and disciplines, made up of photography aspects, fashion design and construction, along with my experience modeling. The project consists of two main components, a reversible garment and the mannequin. With the multiple mediums being used and exhibited in this piece, it encompasses the abilities and knowledge I have as an image maker.
Get Ready and Wait- 2023
Showcases the duality in myself as an artist partaking in both roles as a photographer and an aspiring model. As someone who knows the roles of being in front and behind the camera, and what cations those consider. You learn to help the opposing role and know what they could be needing from you, and therefore work better in harmony. This series presented is made to conceptualize the reflection of myself being both roles at once. Having the power on both sides of being the photographer and the subject.
The Shaping of an Outfit - 2023
This wearable piece is a celebration of personal style surrounded by the vibrant and diverse fashion scene of Toronto. Rather than showcasing these images in a traditional gallery setting, I have chosen to display them in a unique and unconventional way - by printing them onto fabric and transforming them into wearable art.
The Box Project- 2022
“The Box” aims to identify the difference in demographics throughout various neighbourhoods in Toronto. Inspired by the street photographer Willem Jonkers, and their worms eye view street photography perspective. Up to now The Box has surveyed Leaside on Queen St East, Church St, and Bay and King.
